Cookie and Storage Notice
What hushleaf stores on your device, and why there is no cookie banner.
Last updated: 30 October 2026
No cookies, no tracking
hushleaf does not use cookies, and it has no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. That's why you won't see a cookie banner.
What hushleaf does store on your device
hushleaf uses your browser's own storage (such as local storage, IndexedDB and the offline cache) only to make the app work. Nothing in it is sent to us, and we can't read it.
| Stored item | Purpose | Removed when |
|---|---|---|
| Recovery copy of your open document | Recover your work after a crash | You save or discard, or after 7 days; never kept for password-protected files |
| Theme and animation choice | Remember your settings | You clear site data |
| App files for offline use | Load quickly and work without internet | You clear site data |
These are strictly necessary for the features you use, so we don't ask for consent to store them.
How to clear it
In your browser settings, clear "site data" or "cookies and site data" for hushleaf.app. This removes everything hushleaf stored, including any unsaved recovery copy.
