Please read these before relying on a file made with hushleaf. They form part of our Terms of Use.

Cover hides, it doesn't delete The Cover tool draws a box over content. The words or image underneath may still be inside the file, and someone could recover them by copying text or using other software. Don't use Cover to remove passwords, account numbers or other secrets before sharing a file.

Digitally signed PDFs (DigiLocker and others) Changing a digitally signed PDF in any way (including adding a page, a signature or a watermark, or compressing it) breaks its digital signature. The changed file may no longer be accepted as a genuine copy. Keep the original.

Size and pixel targets Compress and the exam photo and signature resizer try to reach the size you choose, but some files can't be made that small without becoming unreadable. hushleaf shows the smallest size it could reach; it never promises a size. Always check the result against the portal's current rules (size, pixels, format, background) before you upload. We are not responsible for a rejected application.

Black and white, and photo to PDF Turning a PDF to black and white turns its pages into pictures, so text can no longer be selected or searched. Photos turned into PDFs are only as clear as the photo.

Aadhaar and PAN print layout hushleaf arranges your own card images at real card size for printing. The printout is a copy for your convenience, not an official document, and it's not issued by UIDAI or the Income Tax Department. Use the masked Aadhaar where possible, and share copies only when needed. Never use hushleaf to make a card for someone else or to change any details.

Removing a password Only remove a password from a file you own or are allowed to open. You must already know the password; hushleaf doesn't crack or bypass passwords.

Characters that can't be saved Some characters (for example some Indian scripts or emoji) can't yet be saved in added text. hushleaf warns you before saving. Check the saved file.

Not professional advice hushleaf is a tool. It doesn't give legal, tax, financial or official advice, and a file you make with it isn't certified or verified by us.

No guarantee hushleaf is free and provided "as is". Keep a copy of your original file before you edit it. See section 7 and 8 of the Terms of Use.

Not affiliated hushleaf isn't affiliated with or endorsed by UIDAI, DigiLocker, the Income Tax Department, any exam body or government portal, or Adobe. These names are used only to describe what the tools help with. "PDF" is used as a generic file-format name.
